Shift in employment in Canada

Over the last 40 years, Canada’s economy has been driven by labor market growth. However, demographic projections confirm that Canada can no longer rely on rapid population growth to fuel our economy.

In the next two decades, the number of Canadians over the age of 65 will double. More than 6 million baby boomers will retire and this older population will create greater demand for legal, health and social services throughout Canada economy.
