English Criteria / Skpye Interview

Students who have 60% in their 12th Standard in English will be Eligible to take an Skype Interview for an English Waiver and if they clear their Skype interviews, IELTS/TOEFL will be waived off. Please note this will be applicable for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

Skype Interviews

Please note there will be stages of the Skype Interview to be cleared by the students before the English Conditions can be waived off.( Students must show their Passport during the Skype Interview as proof of ID)

1) First an Skype with our Regional Representative Office in India.
2) Followed by an Skype with our International Office / English Language  
    Department at the University in the UK.
     
Please note we will require the students Email Id,Direct Mobile Number and Skype id for us to schedule the Skype Interviews.

Please note SELT (IELTS, TOELF, PTE) is Mandatory for student joining University of Bedfordshire if they do not meet the above mentioned criteria.( If they do not clear the Skype Interview with the required English Marks)

If student do not have the required SELT score (IELTS, TOELF, PTE)  or Clear the Skye Interview they can join the English course leading to the November 2013 / February 2014 / April 2014 intake depending on the score they have achieved in their SELT (IELTS, TOELF, PTE).

Please note the Duration of our English course are 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 16 weeks.

  • Student with the Pre-sessional 4 / 6 / 8 Weeks will have an Single CAS, They need to show fund for the English Course plus the Main Course, They need to clear the English Exam to be Eligible to register for their main Courses
  • 2 CAS will be issued for the 10 / 12 / 16 weeks English Course. Student will have to apply for their visa again from the UK if they have an condition of 2 CAS. Please refer to the attached English course list. (Students Need to Clear the English Exam before an CAS for the Main course can be issued) Students have to show their Living Costs for the Duration of their English Course and then will need to show the Funds for the full duration of the main course when applying for their visas for the main course after clearing the English Exam.


Our Visa Department at the university will be able to guide the students, please also ask the students to go and meet the Visa department at registration for guidance.

**Please Note: The duration of  some of our popular  Postgraduate courses  is 15 months duration( Specially MBA), other courses have an duration of 12 months (Please send your requirements)


Internships: Limited Paid Internships for Post Graduate Students:75 Hours Work Placement & upon completion 500 Pounds will be paid.

Internship Criteria: 

  • Full Payment of Fees
  • Students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band (this can be achieved after Pre- sessional) 
  • 55% in previous degree

  • Please Note: We would require to see the students Financial Documents/Bank Loan Sanction Letter before we can Issue the CAS.
  • Fees: Students need to pay 50% of Fees for an CAS, then Mandatory 15% of Fees at Registration and the remaining 35% in 5 equal installment or student can also pay Full Fees and avail an Early Payment Discount.( Which can be paid before or on at Registration only and not after registration)
  • Please Note: We have Additional Merit Scholarships over and above the Full Fee Payment Discount as mentioned below. Students will be entitled to the Merit Scholarships as per their Degree Percentage and will be given the Scholarship Letter along with their Conditional Offer. Students paying Full Fees can deduct the Merit Scholarship allocated to them and then pay their remaining Fees or students who have chosen to pay by installments of the balance 35% of Fees will have to inform the Finance Department of the Scholarship allocated to them and then deduct the Scholarship from the installment plan.

Please Note: We will report students who have got their visas but have not registered at the university or have not paid their fees as per the fee payment policy of the university to the UKBA.


Credibility Interviews for Tier 4 Students:
Please be aware that from May 2013 when students apply for a Tier 4 student visa they may have to sit a short interview when they attend the visa application centre to submit their application and biometric information.
